Dear Mom, Thank You for Choosing Life
There is so much strength that comes with courage but from experience, I know that courage does not at all mean the absence of fear. Courage allows us to face any situation even when fear wants to stare at us straight in the face. Courage allows us to trust in our Heavenly Father’s faithfulness and know that He will provide.
I know many courageous people but among the most courageous people that I have come across and whose strength I have witnessed would have to be all of the moms on this planet. It takes great courage to bring life into this world. Choosing life for another human even though there may be many fears running through your mind. Although, bringing life into this world, takes more than one person, on Mothers’ Day we celebrate our Mothers!
To all the biological mothers out there, thank you for your bravery, courage, and for protecting and choosing life.
To all the adoptive mothers out there, thank you for choosing to take care of the life that God has asked you to take care of and for taking them under your full care. Thank you for your dedication and love.
To all the foster mothers out there, thank you for your generosity and kindness. Thank you for taking these lives into your home.
To all the mothers-to-be out there, thank you for choosing God’s call to bring life into this world. There may be bumps in the road but the gift of being able to give life to another is a beautiful blessing.
To all the mother-figures out there, thank you for your love. You are important. You are appreciated. You are loved.
To all my brothers and sisters in Christ, appreciate your mom, grandma, aunt, and other mother-figures you may have. Appreciate those who have chosen life, chosen to take care of you, and chosen to love you. Choose to tell them that you love them every day and that you appreciate them because they chose life for you, they chose love, and they chose to protect.
During my almost 20 years of life, I have found life to be a precious thing. We have cried many times because a life has been lost. People often say, “Life is short. Don’t wait until it’s too late.” That is very true! Life on Earth is very short but it is also such a blessing - blessing that needs to be cherished and protected.
To all the moms and mom-figures out there, thank you for cherishing and protecting life. Thank you for your courage, love, and bravery. It may not always be easy, but it takes such strength, bravery, and courage to choose life for another. Blessings to you! You are some of the strongest and most courageous soldiers our Heavenly Father has blessed.
A blessed and happiest Mothers’ Day to all the mom and mom-figures out there! Thank you for all you are and all you do.
I would also like to greet my Nanay (Nora Valencia) a Happy Mothers’ Day! Nanay, we love you so much. Ella, Paulo, Tatay, and I appreciate everything you do for us. You have always been and continue to be a wonderful role model. Thank you for your love, generosity, kindness, strength, and patience. God bless you, Nanay!
